Reblogged: Indiana Dunes State Park, IN – Flashback to Warmth

A friend’s recent blog post took me back in time to a warm summer day not too long ago when a few friends came to visit me at a beach near my house. The warmth of the summer was balanced by the gusty winds that are pretty common where I live. While the winds aided the journey of the clouds above us and challenged that of the birds, they did nothing to help the group of amateur yet ambitious group of girls who wanted to fly a kite that day (more about that in the linked blog).

Movement is energy and energy is life. The day at the beach was as full of energy as it was relaxing. The kids in our group, of course, had the most energy while the adults had a relaxing time observing it. We indulged in a big batch of snacks and desserts while we sat and watched the vast blue sky slowly becoming engulfed by the delicate white clouds. They gradually changed many shapes and shades as the sun slowly slipped away after giving us a spectacular view of its beauty and glory.

It was a day that brought with it some new friends and experiences along with some good old fun and games. I highly recommend you view the pictures of this day in the linked post and relive the day with us by enjoying the beautiful captures shared on Tay’s blog.
